HAT DAY -- WEAR YOUR HAT Thursday, September 29th

LETTER OF THE WEEK

The letter of the week will be the consonant Hh.The key picture for Hh is hat. Don't forget to remind your child to bring something that starts with the letter Hh for "Letter Museum." Practice identifying the letters l, o, g, and h and their sound would be beneficial for your child.

MATH UPDATES

This week in math we will finish up Topic 3 on patterning. We will start Topic 4 on the numbers zero through five. We will gain an understanding of those numbers and practice writing the numbers . Extra practice writing the numbers, especially 2, would be helpful for your child to do at home this week.

OUR SCHOOL RULES

We will continue to work on learning and practicing classroom, hallway, lunchroom and recess routines and rules. In addition, we are learning about all the teachers at Davenport and how they help us.
Our song to help us learn the rules is as follow and sung to the tune of Clementine. Be sure to have your child sing the song for you.
**
** Be respectful
** Be responsible
** Be caring
** Be safe
These four rules keep us happy
and make Davenport
a great place!
